My first published book, Enriching Your Retirement, was written for the purpose of helping people who were approaching retirement and had no idea what they would do with their time. I couldn’t understand how anyone could dread leaving a job and being able to do anything they wanted.

My second published book was nine years in the making. It began as a need to exorcize a huge cloud of gloom that enveloped me during and after a seven month seat on a grand jury. We heard more than one case during that time but the biggest and longest was a twenty year cold case, the murder of a young girl.

The members of a Grand Jury are sworn to never speak about the case to anyone outside of the other members and even then only in the jury room. In order to help myself through the trauma of learning exactly how heinous people can be to each other, I decided to create fictional characters and write a Christian Fiction novel.

Thus, In The Absence of Light came to be.

And lastly, I tried my hand at a children’s book, When I Grow Up, which encourages kids to think about what they want to do and be when they grow up. It ends with a section for kids to draw pictures of those things and can be kept by parents to give to them when they’re grown.
